CPO is Kia’s pre-owned car business.
Has 15 touchpoints in 14 cities, plans to open 30 outlets before 2023.
Cars will have to pass a 175-point inspection for certification.
Vehicles sold through CPO will get service and warranty coverage.
Buyers trading their car for a new Kia will get exclusive benefits.
The pre-owned car market has been booming as a lot of people are finding value in used cars and Kia has capitalised on this and launched its own pre-owned car business called the Kia CPO. Let’s take a look at the latest venture in the used car space:
The Kia CPO offers a platform for existing Kia owners or potential customers to sell, buy or exchange pre-owned cars. On top of this, it ensures a hassle-free RC transfer experience further aided by custom finance and service options. Every car coming in for a transaction will go through a 175-point quality check to make sure there are no issues or faults with the vehicle. Only then will it qualify for the ‘certified’ tag.
All certified cars won’t be any older than five years and won’t have clocked more than one lakh km on the odometer. No structural damage is a must, and verified ownership and service history is also a mandatory requirement for receiving the ‘certified’ tag.

Furthermore, customers exchanging their car for a brand-new Kia will be entitled for special benefits and offers. Plus, the carmaker will instantly transfer the used car’s value while buying the new Kia, making it a more simplified buying process.
The pre-owned cars will get up to two years or 40,000 km of warranty coverage and a maximum of four free periodic maintenance services. Kia currently has 15 CPO outlets in 14 cities, but thanks to rapid expansion plans, the number is forecasted to cross the 30-outlet mark before the end of this year.
Kia currently has five cars spanning different body styles in its portfolio, including the Sonet and Seltos SUVs, EV6 electric crossover, and Carens and Carnival MPVs.
